Welcome to my world.
SETH's the name. Performance
poetry and experimental
fiction is the game.
20 years ago I stumbled
into performing poetry.
First there was
Open
Rangers --
our mission: to render
poetry more entertaining and
thus more accessible to the
poemaphobic. Then came
Jafrika,
an artistic tour de
force.
.And now
Art Compost & the Word
Mechanics....
plus all kinds of other
creative collaborations
along the way.
My love affair with
language actually began with
fiction and still remains
so. Most of my short stories
have been published. I've
also written and performed
radio theater comedy, worked
with kids on writing and
producing their
stories and plays, authored
a hit musical and, most
recently, completed my first
novel.
Along the way I've honed
my skills as an
instructor, producer,
director, actor and
percussionist eking out
a living coordinating
artistic and community
projects for other
organizations. I enjoy
performing solo as well as
being part of an ensemble.
And I'm forever on the
lookout for new and
innovative ways to present
my work and the writing of
others.
