Art Compost & The Word Mechanics

Art Compost is about the synergy that takes place when creative people get together and let happen whatever happens.

We're a growing family of friends: poets, musicians, actors, singers & dancers. For more than 8 years we've jammed every Sunday night at the Mercury Cafe in Denver, Colorado. We invite poets, singers, musicians & anyone else who wants to have some fun to join us as we fuse music, spoken word, spontaneity and whatever else we can throw in the mix.

We call our weekly improvisational jam-fest the 'Jam before the Slam' as it is followed by an open mic/poetry slam, Denver being home of one of the strongest slam communities in the country.
